GEDIA makes children's eyes light up

What could be nicer than making others happy? That's exactly what our trainees did! This year, they once again took care of GEDIA's participation in the "Christmas in a Shoebox" campaign, which is a worldwide gift campaign for children in need. The aim is to bring a smile to the faces of as many children in need as possible. The entire company was approached and asked to help in order to raise as much money as possible. Anyone and everyone could drop any amount into one of our donation boxes. Overwhelmed by the generosity of all colleagues, they counted a total of €480.00! The money collected and an additional contribution from our management were used to buy great presents for the children, which were then divided up into colorfully wrapped, Christmas-decorated shoe boxes. The gift boxes contained toys, sweets, clothes, toiletries and school supplies, among other things, according to the children's needs. The finished boxes - labeled with information on the age and gender for which each box was intended - were then taken to the nearest collection point, from where they were collected and sent on their journey. In addition to the filled shoeboxes, a portion of the collected amount was donated to the organization to cover the transport costs for the parcels to the various destination countries. Social commitment is very important to our trainees. They are proud that they were able to take part in the "Christmas in a Shoebox" initiative with the support of GEDIA and all employees.
