Forming and joining technology

In the field of forming technology our focus lies on processing higher strength steel by applying innovative deep drawing concepts. GEDIA has modern transfer presses with coil feeding devices and blank sheet feeding devices for manual and automated production. Currently more than 100 mechanical and hydraulic presses with up to 25 000 KN pressure power are in use. The joining technology division has group-wide welding equipment with approx. 200 robots. 

Product and process development (PPD)

The PPD division in our technology centre in Attendorn guarantees optimal production processes at all locations and the development of our products. 40 CAE/CAD workplaces develop and apply complex drawing simulations and calculations for purposes of risk analyses and producibility evaluation. Our in-house prototype and tooling department validates the results by making test tools and implements them in serial production tools. The PPD division is also responsible for virtual production and process development, organisation improvement, technical information management and setting up new networks with industrial partners and associates, in order to create a synergy of experience and innovation.
